In this privacy policy I aim to explain how I use personal information. I am the data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation.

What information will I collect about you and how will I collect it?

I will receive personal information about you whenever you contact me. This will include your name and contact details. 

I may receive additional personal information directly from you if you decide to join me at Magic Canvas. This may include your medical history, as well as any other personal information that is required. 

How will I use your personal information?

I take data protection very seriously, so I have set out exactly how and why I may use your personal information and my legal basis for doing so.

It is necessary for me to use personal information about you to:

  • respond to any questions you may have if you contact me; and

  • if you then decide to join me at Magic Canvas.

If I am provided with medical and/or criminal information about you, then I can use this personal information because you have told me about it, and it is to be used for counselling purposes.

We will not share any of your personal information with anyone else unless there is a safeguarding issue. With respect to any safeguarding issue and any steps necessary to prevent any safeguarding issue, whether now or in the future, I will take such steps as may be necessary to ensure security, to prevent or detect crime, to prevent fraud, to operate in the public interest, and to effect the debugging of data from visitors to and vendors from this website site by:

  • Ensuring that data is securely transmitted;

  • Ensuring that the detection and prevention of malicious, fraudulent, invalid, illegal activity or crime; and

  • Ensuring the correct and efficient operation of systems and processes engaged in permitted purposes.

How long will I keep your personal information?

I will only hold your personal information for as long It is necessary for me to use personal information about you to:

  • respond to any questions you may have if you contact me; and

  • if you then decide to join me at Magic Canvas. 

How will I protect your personal information?

I will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy notice.   

All personal information you provide to me, both on paper and electronically, as well as any personal information that is created if you decide to join me at Magic Carpet, is held and stored securely.

Unfortunately, the transfer of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although I will do my best to protect your personal information, I cannot guarantee its security if you communicate with me via the website. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. Once I have received your personal information via the website, I will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave me to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you.

Complaints

If you wish to make a complaint about my collection or use of your personal information, please either use the contact form, or the contact details on this website in the first instance so that we may seek to resolve your complaint.
